Sometimes we get stuck in patterns that no longer serve us and it can be challenging to learn how to show up differently and make meaningful changes in our lives. I enjoy helping clients learn how to honor their full truth while beginning to create boundaries and use their voice to speak their needs. Therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable to share the purest form of yourself, and my hope is that we will co-create a space where you can feel safe. I love helping clients navigate relationship concerns, access healing, and learn how to be kinder to their bodies.

Our political and cultural landscape has made life more challenging for many individuals, particularly those from historically oppressed backgrounds. I believe it is crucial that therapy is a safe place to explore aspects of yourself while also naming the harm you’ve endured by the various systems you have had to navigate. Mental health stigma can prevent those who need therapy from accessing it, and my hope is that clients feel secure to show up and do the healing and introspective work they long to do. To me, good therapy is where all of you is welcome, and the environment affords you space to become more of yourself.

Specializes in:

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Expressive arts Therapy

My Mission:
Our race, ethnicity, and cultural identity likely influences how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. My mission is to offer all clients culturally relevant services and meet them in their particular journey. Everyone is welcome in therapy. The therapy journey is not linear; and together we can discover many aspects of yourself that can even be new for you. Come as you are, I am looking forward to working with you through this healing path.
My Journey:
While volunteering in my mother’s Sunday school classes, I worked with students who needed accommodations to be successful in the classroom, and this influenced my desire to pursue my master’s degree in school psychology. Through this program I got the opportunity to provide individual and group intervention services as well as evaluative assessments in public and therapeutic settings. My interest in group and individual therapy grew through this time, and I made the decision to pursue my Psy.D. so I would be able to provide a variety of mental health services. My internship at a university counseling center further fueled my passion for providing therapy and influenced my decision to utilize my training and knowledge in mindfulness, DBT, CBT, and the Gottman Method in a private practice setting. I look forward to connecting with, and offering support to, my community.

Self-Care Rituals:

I enjoy cooking, listening to music, creating art, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and my fourteen-year-old cat Boots. After a day of work, you can usually find me taking a stroll if the weather is nice and then cooking myself a nice dinner while watching Gilmore Girls!
