Founded in 2019 by Dr. Brittany Escuriex, SEP and Dr. Danica Harris, SEP, Empowered Healing Dallas ® was created to be more than just a therapy practice. We saw a gap in traditional therapy: many approaches ignored the impact of the socio-political climate, systemic oppression, and discrimination on people’s mental health.
Empowered Healing Dallas ® was born out of a vision—to build a social justice-informed therapeutic space where humans of all identities, bodies, and backgrounds can find safety, support, and connection.
We believe that therapy should be a place where you feel safe, seen, and heard. Your lived experience, including your identities, cultural background, and history, deeply shapes the way you move through the world.
Our therapists embrace a holistic and intersectional approach, welcoming every part of who you are. We honor your resilience and see you as the expert of your own story. Our role is to walk alongside you—helping you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover authentic growth and healing.
At Empowered Healing Dallas ®, our values aren’t just words. They guide every session, every relationship, and every choice we make as a practice.
We commit to:
Most therapy practices focus only on symptoms. At Empowered Healing Dallas ®, we focus on you as a whole person. This means we don’t just treat anxiety, depression, or trauma—we also recognize how cultural, systemic, and relational experiences contribute to your mental health.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Together, you and your therapist will co-create a plan that feels safe, manageable, and empowering.
