I believe counseling is relational at its core and that your lived experiences and sense of safety are at the center. Our experiences provide us with a lens through which we view the world and it’s important to both honor and examine that which has helped us cope through difficult times. I believe that when we can become curious about our experiences rather than critical, we begin to heal.

I will walk alongside you as you build awareness of yourself and your relationships. I utilize multicultural and self-compassion-based approaches in therapy and I’ve seen firsthand that knowledge around our experiences ultimately empowers us to understand
ourselves and our place in the world more comprehensively.

Specializes in:

Trained in:

EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT,  Play Therapy

My Mission:
To provide an environment that fosters curiosity and compassion for your lived experience. To provide therapy that feels safe, relational, and supportive of your unique processes.

I hope that through the rapport we build with one another, you feel safe to examine your ways of coping and create meaningful change that supports your healing and helps you to feel whole.
My Journey:
A combination of life experiences and a high school psychology class sparked my curiosity about complex trauma and its impact on the developing brain. I completed my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies in May of 2014 and earned a Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University.

While in graduate school, I worked with the foster care population as well as created and ran programs for a local elementary school. In my time as a therapist, I have worked with children, teens, and adults from a variety of life experiences and backgrounds.

Self-Care Rituals:

Spending time connecting with my friends and loved ones as well as engaging in creativity through coloring, crafting, and listening to music. I also love to care for my plants and spend quality time with my cats. I prioritize rest for my body and mind, and this can look like taking a hot bath or watching a good Netflix show.
