You may be experiencing tough life transitions with limited or no support, coupled with a mixture of thoughts, feelings, and emotions that feel like a burden. Whether it’s your first time in therapy or you are returning to sharpen your skills, I am here to support you every step along the way.

I support those who are exploring all aspects of who they are, learning how to create boundaries, and build their self-confidence. With the utmost respect and honor for you, I am eager to join you on your journey towards understanding yourself in new ways. This therapeutic alliance is one where you can be yourself, and I will do everything in my power to assist you in feeling safe and comfortable to do just that.

My approach utilizes humor, showing up authentically, and person-centered approaches. I am a proud and vocal advocate for human rights, and I will be a fierce advocate of you in our work. My Mission:
To provide a space of vulnerability and create a strong therapeutic alliance that meets you wherever you're at. Through compassion, my own lived experience, and a strong dedication to service before self that I cultivated during my military career, I am here to sit alongside you in your journey towards discovering the best version of yourself possible. I see you, I hear you, and I welcome you, to a therapeutic experience unlike any other.
My Journey:
When I was 20-years-old, I was deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield). While I was there, I saw firsthand the impact of mental health on the overall well-being of my fellow siblings in arms. It was during this transformative deployment that I decided to dedicate myself and my studies towards becoming a psychologist. When I returned home, I began my studies with a renewed sense of purpose: to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to assist others in their journey towards becoming their most true and authentic selves.

FAQs

  • What does LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy look like in practice?
LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy means your identity, relationships, and lived experiences are
honored without assumption or pathologizing. Therapy can be a space to explore identity,
relationship dynamics, family systems, internalized messages, or trauma related to
marginalization, while also focusing on growth, connection, and embodiment beyond survival.
  • I struggle with people-pleasing and perfectionism. Can therapy really help with
that? Absolutely. People-pleasing and perfectionism are often protective strategies rooted in
attachment and nervous system patterns. Therapy helps you understand why these patterns
developed, soften self-criticism, and build boundaries that feel grounded rather than rigid. Over
time, this work supports greater self-trust, emotional clarity, and more authentic relationships.
  • Is therapy helpful for men, even if talking about emotions feels uncomfortable?
Yes. Many men come to therapy not because they want to talk endlessly about feelings, but
because something isn’t working: stress, relationships, anger, burnout, or a sense of
disconnection. Therapy doesn’t require you to be emotionally fluent or vulnerable right away.
We work at a pace that respects how you’ve learned to cope, helping you build awareness,
emotional range, and choice in ways that feel practical, grounded, and authentic to you.

Self-Care Rituals:

I enjoy spending time doing anything outdoors, including fishing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and running. When I am not reading or preparing for a session, I love spending time adventuring with my partner and our goofy golden retriever, Maverick (yes, he was named after the movie Top Gun).
