About Brittany

As co-owner and clinical director at Empowered Healing Dallas, I feel deeply honored to support our team of compassionate, highly skilled therapists as they walk alongside their clients on their healing journeys. My role is both clinical and collaborative, guiding, mentoring, and nurturing our clinicians so they can continue to show up in grounded, authentic, and human ways with the people they serve.

I believe therapy has the power to restore connection, not just between client and therapist, but between people and their own bodies, histories, and relationships. My approach to both therapy and leadership is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationship, through warmth, curiosity, and presence. I bring my years of experience as a psychologist, trauma therapist, and supervisor into every aspect of my work here, ensuring our practice remains a safe, inclusive, and deeply supportive community.

At Empowered Healing Dallas, we value therapy as a space for growth, integration, and reclamation, where all parts of a person are welcome. In supporting our team, I emphasize integrity, embodiment, and a shared commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive care.

While I’m not currently accepting new therapy clients, I continue to provide Couples Intensives and OCD Intensives through our affiliate practice, The Empowered Therapist. These immersive experiences offer focused, accelerated healing for individuals and couples who are ready to move more deeply into their work.

I’m endlessly inspired by the courage it takes to heal, and by the therapists, clients, and community who make Empowered Healing Dallas such a special place.

My Journey:
I fell in love with the field of psychology while attending the University of Florida. I later completed my graduate training at the University of South Alabama and felt called to be a part of healing within the communities I was part of. After working within systems for several years, private practice felt like the perfect way to create a work culture that felt congruent and empowering.

FAQs

  • What is a couples therapy intensive?
A structured, immersive experience (typically two days) that condenses months’ worth of  couples therapy progress into focused sessions. We gain a deeper understanding of where your relational dynamics get stuck, increase opportunities for vulnerability and connection, and develop strategies for creating lasting safety and intimacy.

  • How is a couples intensive different from weekly counseling?
Weekly therapy offers steady momentum; intensives provide dedicated time to go deeper without week-to-week interruptions. Oftentimes, couples feel they are “just getting to the good stuff” when a weekly session ends. Intensives provide the chance to spend dedicated and intensive time addressing issues and developing new patterns.

  • Who is a good fit for a couples therapy intensive?
Partners who feel stuck in repeated conflict, are recovering from a breach of trust, are navigating big transitions, or wanting rapid clarity and reconnection. Couples who have done weekly couples counseling but are desiring more immersive attention support. We’ll do a brief consult call to ensure a couples intensive is a good fit for your relationship needs. Couples with any active abuse dynamics are NOT a fit for a couples therapy intensive.

Self-Care Rituals:

Enjoying time with friends and family. I love to read psychological thrillers, and I’m a huge fan of documentaries. I also enjoy a few minutes of deep breathing, listening to the Hamilton soundtrack at full blast, and dancing like nobody’s watching!
