You might notice that no matter how much you accomplish, connect, or grow, a part of you still feels tense or on guard, waiting for the next thing to go wrong. Maybe you’ve worked hard to move on from the past, but certain feelings, memories, or relational patterns keep pulling you back. You might long for closeness but also find it hard to trust, open up, or feel safe with others.

I help clients who are healing from complex trauma, attachment wounds, and relational pain. Together, we’ll make sense of why your mind and body respond the way they do, not as flaws, but as deeply intelligent adaptations to what you’ve been through. Our work will focus on building safety first, then gently processing what’s been carried for too long.

My approach combines relational therapy and EMDR to help you release what’s stuck, reconnect with your emotions, and feel more grounded in the present. You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of your past alone. Healing is possible, and you deserve to feel steady, connected, and whole again. You make sense, and together we’ll help you make changes and choices that are aligned with your healing and relationship goals.

My Mission:
All parts of you are welcome to take up space in the therapy room, even the ones you feel most disconnected from. My hope is that during our time together you learn how to show up authentically for yourself, understand that you are worthy of healing, and embrace the messiness of being a human in a world that teaches us to suppress instead of accept.
My Journey:
I started my college career as an Education major to fulfill my goal of helping and supporting others. I quickly found that I yearned for a deeper connection with people that went beyond teaching. This led me to changing my major to Psychology and it was in my counseling psychology course that I had found that becoming a therapist aligned with my goal of helping others gain a deeper understanding of themselves. This led me to obtaining my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University.

FAQs

  • What is EMDR therapy, and how does it work?
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) while recalling aspects of a memory to help the brain reprocess stuck material. Many clients experience reduced distress and more adaptive beliefs.

  • What happens in an EMDR intensive session?
We complete a thorough intake and resourcing, then spend longer blocks on reprocessing with breaks and integration. You leave with a clear plan and tools for aftercare.

  • Who might benefit most from an EMDR intensive?
Clients with specific targets (e.g., a car accident, medical trauma), those with limited schedules, or folks wanting momentum on long-standing issues. We’ll screen to ensure it’s clinically appropriate and safe for us to move at this more intensive pace.
