It’s not always easy to ask for help, especially when you’ve learned to keep things together, care for others first, or stay strong no matter what. You might find yourself feeling anxious, disconnected, or unsure of how to balance the many parts of your life and identity. Maybe you’re navigating family expectations, cultural pressures, or relationship patterns that no longer feel sustainable, and you’re ready to understand yourself in a deeper, more compassionate way.

I work with clients who are exploring identity, attachment, and belonging, including those within the South Asian community, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and anyone navigating life transitions, fertility journeys, or loss. Together, we’ll explore the stories and experiences that shaped how you relate to yourself and others. My approach is relational, culturally attuned, and collaborative, and we’ll move at your pace as you learn to trust your emotions, strengthen your boundaries, and create the kind of relationships and life you want.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform or have all the answers. I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect as we work together to help you feel grounded, confident, and connected to your authentic self.

My Mission:
To create a safe space for you to explore your difficulties within a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment. My hope is that through the process of therapy and our relationship you’ll create a deeper understanding of yourself and others and learn skills that will help you not only feel better, but also help you live an authentic life.
My Journey:
As long as I can remember, I wanted to be in a helping profession. When I took my first undergraduate course in psychology, it became clear to me that becoming a mental health professional was my career path. Coming from a collectivist culture, I always saw mental health concerns within the paradigm of systems (family, culture, and environment) and this helped me understand the role power, privilege, and oppression play in individual’s mental health. I finished my master's degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy and then completed my doctoral degree in clinical psychology where I focused on multiculturalism. My personal and professional experience aid me in supporting my clients as they learn to reduce shame and fully accept themselves.

FAQs

  • How do I know now is the right time to start therapy?
If what you’re carrying alone feels heavy —or you want support changing patterns—now is a good time. You don’t need to be “bad enough” to deserve care.

  • What does a first session look like?
We’ll talk about what brings you in, your history, goals, and what feels supportive. You set the pace; I’ll outline options.

  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy is a fit when you feel respected, safe, and understood. A consult can help you sense that fit before committing.

Self-Care Rituals:

One of my biggest joys in life is playing with my son and teaching him new things. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, reading books, and watching Indian movies. Overtime I’ve learned the importance of mindfulness and meditation and try to incorporate some me-time into each day.
