Do you feel anxious, disconnected, or like you’re constantly “on”? Maybe you feel like you are managing everyone else’s expectations while silently struggling to meet your own. Perhaps you feel stuck in survival mode, repeating old patterns in relationships, or carrying the weight of perfectionism and self-doubt.

Coming from a West African background where mental health conversations were often taboo, I understand how hard it can be to name your pain, ask for help, or show up authentically. My own healing journey taught me that we don’t have to do life alone, and that being seen and heard with compassion can change everything.

In therapy, I offer a space where you can exhale. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences and cultural context shape the way you relate to yourself and others, and help you build confidence, clarity, and connection. My goal is to help you move beyond survival into a fuller, more grounded version of yourself, one where you feel empowered to thrive, not just get by.

My Mission:
It’s a deep honor to walk alongside people from all walks of life as they move through healing and growth. I bring gratitude, humility, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for support. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to be a steady, supportive presence as you build trust in yourself and move forward in a way that feels true to you.
My Journey:
My own healing journey in therapy led me to this work. As someone from a West African background where mental health wasn’t always valued, I’m passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces for others. I blend my clinical training with cultural awareness to support each client in feeling seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we’ll shape therapy around your unique needs, goals, and identity.

FAQs

  • What is culturally-based trauma?
Harm rooted in racism, xenophobia, homophobia/transphobia, religious trauma, or systemic oppression. It can affect safety, identity, and belonging.

  • How would you support former gifted and talented children in adulthood?
We explore perfectionism, pressure to achieve, and burnout; build self-worth beyond performance; and create sustainable rhythms.

  • How do you create a safe and affirming space for clients?
By practicing cultural humility, using inclusive language, and giving you choice and consent in every step of therapy.

Self-Care Rituals:

As a proud foodie, I love cooking meals for others—especially when I need a little extra joy or laughter. In recent years, I’ve been exploring what true rest looks like for me, whether that’s getting outside, watching something nostalgic, or finding quiet moments to slow down. I also enjoy soaking up local festivals and cultural events as I keep working through my ever-growing bucket list!
