You might find yourself feeling disconnected from others, from your emotions, or even from yourself. Maybe you work hard to keep relationships steady, but they often leave you feeling anxious, misunderstood, or unseen. Perhaps you’ve learned to cope by numbing out, staying busy, or overanalyzing every situation, trying to keep chaos or rejection at bay.

I work with clients who are ready to better understand themselves and their relationships. Together, we’ll explore the early attachment patterns and protective strategies that once helped you survive but may now keep you stuck in anxiety, avoidance, people-pleasing, or self-doubt.

Our sessions are a space for curiosity and compassion, not judgment. Through gentle exploration and practical tools, we’ll help you build healthy coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and create more safety and connection in your relationships and within yourself.

Before I became a therapist, I was a client, and I know how powerful it is to sit across from someone who really sees you. No part of you is too much or too little here. Together, we’ll work toward a life that feels steadier, more authentic, and deeply connected.

My Mission:
To provide a safe and trusting environment that fosters curiosity, compassion, and empowerment for your own journey to healing. No topic is too dark, too silly, or too heavy. To listen to your experiences and journey with an open heart as you learn to listen to yourself in return.
My Journey:
My own lived experiences, plus my AP psychology course in high school set the foundation for me becoming a counselor. I began reading psychology books in my tweens, and knew I wanted to work in the helping profession when I grew up. I completed my undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation studies with a focus on substance abuse and addiction from the University of North Texas in 2009, and spent almost 6 years working with folx recovering from addiction and co-occurring depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and complex trauma. After that, I took a break from mental health and spent 9 years working as an administrator before returning to graduate school, craving the opportunity to build more deep connections with others and help them heal. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University in 2024. In my time as a therapist, I have worked with children as young as seven, teens, and adults from a variety of backgrounds. I deeply enjoy connecting with, and getting to know all folx from all walks of life.

FAQs

  • How do you help teenagers feel safe in therapy?
I offer warmth, honesty, and choice—teens set the pace. We use practical tools, creative outlets, and clear boundaries around privacy.

  • Do you involve parents in teen counseling sessions?
When helpful, yes—usually brief check-ins to support progress while honoring the teen’s confidentiality. We’ll collaborate and decide on a plan together.

  • How do you approach trauma work with adolescents?
Gently and collaboratively. We start with regulation skills, then integrate body-based tools and, when appropriate, targeted trauma processing.

Self-Care Rituals:

I rarely miss a day walking my 3 dogs with my partner!  Spending time connecting with friends recharges my heart, and I love to cross-stitch, paint, and take care of my plants as well.  I try to find different ways to move my body, whether it be hiking, walking, weight lifting, or yoga. When I’m not doing any of those things, I’m usually at home crafting and watching horror movies.
